Lybster Harbour is located on the Caithness coast. It was once the third most important herring port in Scotland.

The harbour is now home to a small lighthouse, a number of fishing boats as well as the Waterlines Museum.

The museum tells the story of Lybster's history and geology. It also has a reputation for its fresh crab sandwiches, served in the museum's cafe.

Lybster is around 20 minutes' drive south of Wick on the A99 road.

Caithness Sea Coast runs a 3.5-hour boat tour from Wick which stops in Lybster.
