Scrabster is a port on the north coast of Caithness, which operates a ferry service to Stromness in Orkney several times each day.

Less than two miles from Thurso town centre, Scrabster is a 5-minute journey by bus on the number 82 or X99 - or a 35-minute walk. Check the Stagecoach website for the bus timetable.

The port has a fish restaurant called the Captain’s Galley and a Spanish restaurant, Capilla Tapas, which resides in a converted church.

The harbour is a provider of fish to the surrounding area.
