Inside the Camster Cairns
The Grey Cairns of Camster are two neolithic cairns (or chambered tombs), located in Caithness, Scotland. They date back approximately 5,000 years.
The cairns are around a 15-minute steady drive south of Watten, or can be approached from the A99 near Lybster, with around 10 minutes' drive north.
The cairns are free of charge to visit.
Waterproof trousers may be helpful, if you wish to enter inside the cairns, as some passages can be wet and narrow. However these are possible to navigate for someone of moderate build and agility.
