Castle Sinclair Girnigoe is an ancient ruins overlooking the coast towards Sinclair Bay, near the Noss Head peninsula.
Located around 10 minutes' drive north of Wick, the ruins are free of charge and open to the public all year round. However note that restoration work is underway and the castle may be closed to the public periodically, therefore do check before travelling.
The ruins neighbour Noss Head Lighthouse and have views of nearby Ackergill Tower and Reiss Sands. Like the castle, they are situated in close proximity to the long-distance walking path, The John O'Groats Trail.
